Charleston City Council discussed rezoning approximately 11 acres near West Ashley Circle and Bees Ferry Road (by Walmart).

PUD Details: The proposed development includes a General Commercial District, a Financial District, and an Outparcel District. Buildings will be located outside of power line easements.
Green Space & Access: The plan includes a trail system under power lines and around a detention pond. Vehicular access will align with existing points and a planned extension of Floyd Drive.
Pedestrian Focus: The city emphasized the importance of active pedestrian entrances on buildings fronting West Ashley Circle.
Addressing Challenges: Despite overhead power lines, the plan allows for development with roads, parking, and stormwater management potentially under the lines.
