Top Growth Areas Ripe for Appreciation
There is a ton of growth going on in Charleston, that’s no secret. But how can you capitalize on this growth? These 3 areas I’m going to outline are areas I feel are primed to see continued growth and home value appreciation to get in now with a prime long term upside.
West Ashley - Bees Ferry Corridor
This is the only way the city can really expand, so it’s easy to see that this is growing. Especially if the 3000 acre Long Savanna neighborhood goes in.
You also have West Ashley Circle and the growth that can happen there.
Glenn McConnel was just expanded to handle more traffic in preparation for and to handle the current traffic demands.
Park Circle - North Charleston
Yes I know, I know this is already a popular area, but hear me out. The upcoming Naval Yard and Battery Park are going to expand Park Circle beyond it’s current limits, creating a larger urban center.
We’ve already seen local businesses like Firefly and Holy City Brewing invest a ton of money into new facilities over the past few years here.
The bonus for this area over the other two is the less strict short-term rental laws of North Charleston vs the City of Charleston. You can read them HERE.
North Central/East Central - Upper Peninsula
This area may have the highest barrier of entry, but there is a huge upside on the horizon…The Lowcountry Lowline.
Having been stalled for more than a few years, the city recently brought in The PATH Foundation, the same people responsible for the Atlanta Beltline, to push this project forward.
This is a major step that will connect these upper peninsula neighborhoods to the rest of the peninsula, making the area more easily accessible by foot or bike.
Which area do you see growing the most?

Question: How do I get MY home featured in The ChuckTown Report?
Answer: Reach out to Bill ([email protected]) for details.
I Got A Cease and Desist…OOPS!
If you’re not following me on Instagram (you should start), I made a mistake and used a few photos from the Post & Courier and they didn’t like it. They emailed me a letter and asked me to remove them. So I did, I wasn’t going to fight it. However, I don’t want the algorithm to think my content isn’t good and my audience didn’t like the videos, so as a loyal reader of The ChuckTown Report, it would be much appreciated if you could head over to my account HERE, and leave a comment or two, maybe share a video with a friend, just let the algorithm gods know that y’all still love my videos. Much appreciated and much love!
