The MUSC College of Medicine is FINALLY getting it’s own building!
This will be the first dedicated building fo the college in over a century.
Currently, medical students share facilities with students from MUSC’s five other colleges. The project aims to enhance the medical education experience and environment for students and faculty and the goal is to create spaces where students, faculty, and staff can interact more easily.

City of Charleston Expediting Flood Project
The city of Charleston is upfitting the Concord St Pump Station to relieve flooding on 240 acres of the peninsula, including the flood-prone Market.
The $12.6 million project will install more powerful stormwater and dewatering pumps to better tackle flooding.
When will this happen? Well, it’s already started and they are expediting the project to be done in Spring 2025 ahead of the next hurricane season.
Say goodbye to kayaking down Market Street during flood events and heavy rains.
